How long have you been writing?
I have written in some form of another since I was a child. I tried to keep a journal on several occasions. I love to write poetry although this goes in and out of fashion. My upcoming Thriller - I AM ME will include a little as I could not resist putting some in.
I love to write rhyming poetry and this has proven a great skill when writing comedy song lyrics for theatre.

What was your first serious book as a child?
I remember my grandmother giving me the Puffin book of Greek Mythology, and therein began my obvious fascination with musclebound, handsome heroes. Once I was hooked I read everything I could get my hands on, often reading well into the night and resulting in a telling off from my Mother.
My favourite books as a child were the Earthsea Trilogy by Ursula Le Guin. These are definitely the forerunner to Harry Potter and in my opinion (and it is only MY opinion) much superior.
